11U Blue Claims Gold in WOBA North Consolation Final
After four days and a LOT of rain, the Arthur Twisters 11U Blue team came home from Port Elgin with gold!

The Twisters kicked off the tournament with their only loss of the weekend, losing to Mount Forest on Friday night. Rainy weather threatened to derail the tournament, and all of Saturday's games were postponed, forcing the team to deal with a compressed schedule on Sunday.

When play resumed on Sunday, the Twisters closed out the preliminary round with a pair of wins.  A 6-1 win over the Hanover Hurricanes, followed by a 5-4 win over the Mildmay Monarchs (Black) set the stage for a rematch against Mount Forest in the semi-finals.  The Twisters were up to the task, avenging Friday's loss with a 12-10 win!

The Twisters returned to Port Elgin Monday for the finals.  They would need to play a strong game, as the Mildmay Monarchs (Red) were still undefeated on the weekend.  After trading leads several times, Arthur claimed the victory as Mildmay ran out of eligible pitchers.

Congratulations on the tournament win!
