13U baseball is for players born in 2012 and 2013. This team will compete in the WOBA south division.
Typically we travel to neighbouring communities including (but not limited to) Mt Forest, Listowel, Walkerton, and Howick.
Baserunners are permitted to lead off before the pitcher delivers the ball at this age group. Increased focus is required by pitchers, as they learn to contend with increased base stealing. Pitching mechanics need to be further refined as balks may be called when pitchers attempt to pick off baserunners.
The number of pitches a player throws in a game is tracked, and limited to protect against injury. Players are not permitted to pitch and play catcher in the same game.
Bases are placed 75' apart, and the pitching rubber is 50' from the back point of home plate.
The season concludes with a year end playoff tournament August 22nd to 24th.
